"The Church law society is civil association, which was founded in academic
year 1994/1995 by students and teachers of Faculty of Law, Charles university.
Its aim is to support of study and work in church law, state ecclesiastical
law and in other subjects nears to the church law. The Society is a place
of intergration of students and teachers and also public, who are interesting
in this objects. The Society is founded on friendly relations to churches
and religion associations, its members are members of various religion
belief. The Society is also open to the people without any religion belief.
In present The Society has about 360 members from various parts of the
Czech Republic and also from foreign countries. The Church law Socitety
issues the "Church law review", three issues each year and at least four
time in each year arranges lectures on points of church and state ecclesiastical
law (cycle of "Affect of law in Church and Society") with particiaption
of leading persons of science of church and state ecclesiastical law from
Czech Republic and from abroad. The ChLS prepares each two years on the
faculty of Law, Charles university international conference or colloqium
about state ecclesiastical law. Local group of the ChLS in Brno prepares
each year on the faculty of Law of Masaryk University in Brno national
conference "The State and the Church". The ChLS also prepares this Web
Pages, in which it is possible to find many documents of church and state
ecclesiastical law in Czech Republic and in other countries.
The science working place of the ChLS is The Institut for State Ecclesiastical
law, wich processes information about State ecclesiastical law (legislation
and judicature)."
